    Gluten Free Christmas Tree Cakes

    Is it even Christmas if you aren’t eating a Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes? For our family, that would be a hard no, except this year we all went gluten free. This definitely put a damper on my Holiday Spirit! I decided that making gluten free Chrismas tree cakes would be my next project to tackle. I scoured the web for an easy and delicious white cake recipe and stumbled upon this one from Sugar Spun Run. To begin, with any cake recipe that you convert to gluten free; texture changes. Consitstency is different. I followed her recipe with my only changes being the flour. My cake batter was very…

    Ground Beef Stroganoff

    Let's talk childhood dinners. Do you remember sitting around the table devouring your favorite dish, or maybe sitting on the couch propped up with a tv tray watching your weekly family show like Full House, Home Improvement, Family Matters or maybe the Wonder Years?? Growing up for me in my family, it was mostly dinner at the table with the TV off. I had some great dinner favorites like sloppy joes and chicken nuggets! haha {Quite the palate, I tell ya!}

    Bacon Pancake Dippers

    These quick and easy pancake dippers are so fun and yummy.  We love the ease of eating them and the delicious mix of sweet and salty-savory.   All you need is a skillet, pancake mix, and bacon.   Start by cooking your bacon in whichever method works best for you.  We like to use our microwave and use one of these.  Prepare pancake mix according to package directions and pre-heat skillet.  I love to use my electric skillet when we make pancakes, for the ease of flipping. Start by placing bacon on the skillet and then scooping batter over the top. {scoop just enough to cover bacon} Let those cook for 3-5…

    Chicken and Broccoli Mac n’ Cheese

    I decided to try something new.  I am not big on veggies and so I have been trying to sneak them in wherever I can for myself.  It doesnt really work the same though, does it?! Haha Well I stumbled across this recipe from Beachbody and decided to tweak it to the ingredients I had on hand and give it a go.  The main difference in the recipe was that I didnt have any almond milk, so I used organic whole milk instead. Outcome?  I actually didnt hate it.  I actually quite enjoyed it.  Cheese makes everything better though, doesnt it?! To get started, cook your macaroni of choice according…

    Super Simple Taco Soup

    Its that time yall!  SOUP WEATHER!   This taco soup is so simple.  So simple that Bug can do it without any assitance.   We tried this recipe and loved it and have been using it as a base for years now.   To begin, you just need to brown you meat in a little bit of olive oil.  I love using garlic infused olive oil in my dishes to get that extra oomph of flavor to the meat.  Here you could add in onions and fresh garlic if you have it on hand.  We didnt this time, so we skipped it.  After your meat is browned, you may need to drain any grease.  I dont…
