What should have taken maybe 10 mins to get across town, now takes 30. Despite this annoyance, all that the town has to offer truly…

    Eureka Springs, AR Birthday Trip

For my 37th birthday we took a quick one night stay trip to Eureka Springs, AR. We just wanted to get away from the everyday and take a nice relaxing trip. I absolutely love the greenery everywhere in Arkansas, so I just knew it would be perfect. Originially hoping to book a treehouse, but I waited too long and everything was booked. However, it was perfectly fine because I adored the cabin we ended up finding instead. Where We Stayed The cabin was located about 20 mins West of Eureka Springs on Beaver Lake. We found and booked it via Airbnb here. It was a small one bedroom/bathroom with a…

For our most recent camping trip, we decided to visit somewhere new. So using the Recreation.gov site we landed on Prairie Creek at Beaver Lake in Rogers, AR. The Big Texan

So we went to Palo Duro Canyon for our last camping trip of the season, so of course we had to make a trip to The Big Texan for dinner!   This is one of our favorite traditions when we pass through Amarillo, TX.  Such a beautiful place, especially during the Holiday Season!  Its all lit up with Christmas lights and decor everywhere.  Even the giant steer skull gets in on the action!   The atmosphere is big, welcoming, and very rustic.  Walking up into the restaurant you walk along a huge wrap around porch to the front, on some beautiful old wood planks, really bringing the western vibe the moment you…
