Yall I am loving these jeggings!   They are Target’s Universal Thread brand jeans and they are only $24.99! The ones I’m wearing are their High-Rise Dark Blue Jeggings.  They are super comfy, with just the right amount of stretch.   They also button-up in the front which I happen to favor over the pull on style.  Takes me from my normal PJ level to grown up, with just the fastening of a button! Ha! Lemonade House Grille

Are you obsessed with burgers and fries like I am?  I absolutely love a good burger any day of the week.   I would pay alot of money for an In-N-Out burger, but alas, being in OKC we dont have one close by.   So…I have been on the lookout for a local burger place that makes me just as happy.   That’s where the Lemonade House Grille comes in.  This little hamburger joint has some quality burgers and unique, amazing flat fries.  They specialize in freshly squeezed lemonades with many flavor combinations to choose from or make your own.   The Lemonade House Grille is located at 1444 N. Kelley, in Edmond.  They…

    Musical Swings Art

Musical Chairs are so last year!    We had the privilige of visiting the art installation, Musical Swings, thats in OKC for a couple of weeks.  It was such a great experience! The Swings were created by Dalytous les jours, a Montreal-based insteraction design studio.  They are an exercise in musical cooperation.  The swings first premiered in 2014 in Green Mountain Falls, CO and has since traveled aroudn the US.   Each swing is a different note, and represents one of 4 instruments: piano, harp, guitar, and a vibraphone.  Individually, each swing sounds great.  However, when you swing in time with other swings, you produce different notes creating even more beautiful…

    Period Party?

So no, I wont be giving my daughter a period party to celebrate her transition from little girl into a young woman. However I did want to do something special to help make the transition smoother for her. Enter the Preteen Period Prep! I put together this Period Survival Package for my daughter so that when the time comes we will be prepared and she will be ready to face this day without fear. I wanted her to have everything handy in case I’m not with her when she starts and this way she will know what to do and what to use. I first went to Hobby Lobby and…

Just Keep Sewing, Just Keep Sewing….

My daughter has been begging to learn how to sew for over a year now.  So after teaching her the basics…plug in the machine, turn the light on, thread the needle and press this peddle and try to sew a straight line….and that being the extent of my knowledge I decided to enlist some professional help.   I found out that during the summer the Edmond Recreational Center had a sewing camp for young girls.  So my daughter and her friend went.   They had the nicest teacher and learned so much. They completed a new project everyday.  My daughter’s love for sewing was born.     When we found out that the…

    Camping and Hiking

We love to go camping!  If we could live in our camper and travel around the world we totally would be those people! Being outdoors just really rejuvenates our souls. I feel so close to God and so happy and at peace. We feel better mentally and physically. Seeing all these beautiful places is worth the cost it takes to travel.                                         Devils Den State Park  So I wanted to share with you some of our favorite places that we have visited in the past. Devils Den State Park in Winslow,…

    Diamond Painting to Zen…

You guys…..I found an amazing, relaxing craft. If you like the Adult coloring books, you might also love diamond painting! It involves a picture with a grid and a color key map. You get thousands of colored drills, that are like tiny rhinestones either squared or circular. You’ll receive a special tool to pick up the drill pieces to apply to the photo. You will place the tool first in some wax and then you will be able to easily pick up the drills one by one, or up to 4 pieces at a time. There is something so very OCD satisfying about placing the drills onto the grid photo.…
