Girls Night at The Collective

The Bestie and I were long overdue for a girls night.  We decided dinner at The Collective would be a fun and different way to enjoy an evening out.

The Collective, is as the name implies, a collection of kitchens coming together under one roof.    Its OKC’s first food hall.  Located at Harvey & NW 10th in Midtown, it features 10 kitchens, a bar, dog-friendly patio, and a roof-top patio.  Open 7 days a week, from 11a-11p!  Its even family friendly until 10pm.

The Collective features the following kitchens:

  • The Flying Pig
  • Press Waffle Co.
  • Local-Homa
  • The Fried Taco
  • Shaka
  • Black Cat
  • Oh Baby!
  • Cafe De L’asie
  • Theo’s Doughnuts
  • Okie Pokie

I got a Monte Cristo from Press Waffle.  It was absolutely amazing.  I happen to love Monte Cristos and this seems like a tad bit healthier option since its not battered and deep fried.  I asked for extra jam on the side…its a definite must!  I have been craving this waffle sandwich like something fierce since we ate here the other day.

Press Waffle has a reward program that you should definitely join too.  I receive a coupon for my next visit for 50% off any waffle! Just join by telephone number and youre all set!

The bestie got ribs, brisket, potato salad, and baked black beans from the Flying Pig.  While the potato salad wasnt a hit, the baked beans and the meat was wonderful.

I had a nice glass of Seven Daughters Moscato and we enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the couches and the rooftop patio when it opened at dusk.

On the weekend, the crowds definitely pick up and seating is really hard to get in the evenings, but on a Sunday evening we were able to enjoy our dinner and talk without yelling.

So if you havent visited The Collective yet, you really should make a special trip in to Midtown to eat some of the delicious food and have a nice cocktail.
