Then going to a tea room is a wonderful way to spend some quality time together with your family and/or friends.

I took my mother and my daughter to our local tea room for a lovely lunch the other day.  We ended up spending over two hours there just enjoying each others company over our lunch and tea in the formal sitting room.

If you live near Edmond, OK then you should really check out Inspirations Tea Room.  Its an amazing tea room with tons of atmosphere, over 30 tea choices, great food, and even some boutique shopping.

We had reservations, so when we arrived we were seated immediately.  We were promptly served a complimentary cup of Pumpkin Creme tea and a Banana Nut Scone with Lemon Curd.  The flavor of the tea and scone changes daily, rotating through 5 flavors of scones and through the seasonal teas.

While we were not fans of the pumpkin tea, the scone was ah-ma-zing!  We ended up buying a few extra to take home! Ha

We placed our orders for lunch, ordering the Trio, Tea for One, and the Young Royals Tea.  We each had our own pot of tea and we ordered Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Mint, and French Caramel Creme Brulee.  I highly recommend the French Caramel Creme Brulee.  It was very delicious.  If you want something decaf and floral then Pretty in Pink is the way to go.  I didnt try the Chocolate Mint, but my daughter said it was pretty good, though it didnt beat her chocolate banana tea that she drinks at home.

The Tea for One and Young Royals Tea were served on tiered trays while the Trio was served on a plate.  On our trays we each had a little piece of paper with a bible verse on it.  It was a wonderful touch to the presentation and experience.

After enjoying our lunch we explored the shopping; stocking up on loose leaf teas and olive oils to take home.  We also walked around and explored the rest of the restaurant.  They have a casual dinning area for their walk-in breakfast and lunch.  They have an outdoor and enclosed patio room as well as a beautiful event room.  I wasnt able to get a photo of the event room but you can see a great photo of the room on their website.

Here are some of our favorite teas, cups, and strainers:
