One Month With Weight Watchers, Down 10lbs

One Month with Weight Watcers

Its officially been one month with Weight Watchers. I am down 10lbs and feeling so proud and excited about the future with this program.

I started Weight Watchers at the beginning of May; the first Monday of the month (bc who starts something new on a weekend? haha). Weight Watchers keeps me so accountable and that is why it works so well for me. The points and logging and the free points is huge for me. Instead of spending points for something like chips, Im more likely to reach for carrots or some fruit.

Weight Watchers Plans

I am on the Blue Plan, which has a moderate list of free foods like fruits and veggies and lean meats like chicken. There is also a Green and Purple plan. Green giving you more daily points but less free points. Purple gives you less daily points but has more free points including rice and potatoes. I would definitely abuse the Purple plan with eating rice and potatoes. #frenchfriesarefree

Picky Eater Success

After just one week on Weight Watchers, I realized just what I was doing wrong before. I really didnt think too much of my coffee choices, or my late night snacking. Just how quickly these calories would add up. Ive become more aware of what Im eating and drinking, and again just making much better choices to reach for fruits and veggies. Which, if you know me…is a huge accomplishment, as I detest veggies and most fruit. My fruits and veggies have to be prepared a specific way because I am so big on the texture. I saw this meme once that portrayed my aversion to fruit perfectly. Made about children….but I do have the palate of a 5 y/o! HA.

Why I struggle with fruits and veggies

However, Im trying. Im working to retrain my brain and my tastebuds. Maybe I have to stick to certain fruits and veggies only at certain times but its better than none.

Free Month Trial

My hope with continuing on this program is to lose weight, develop healthy habits, to feel better with more energy, and most importanlty to be a better example to my child.
