Spring Break in OKC

Spring Break is right around the corner in just a couple of weeks. Are you looking for some fun activities to do with your kiddos? Ive compiled a list of some fun and unique places around OKC to take the kiddos. Some that you may not have thought of.

Outdoors Activities

  • Oklahoma City Zoo
    This is one that is always a fun option. Getting out, stretching the legs with some healthy walking while setting your eyes on Niki, the pregnant Rhino.
  • Riversport Adventures
    From rope courses to zip lines, this place is definitely a fun outdoor activity to do this spring break in okc!
  • Orr Family Farm
    Opening March 18th, this place has something for everyone! Pony rides, animal petting, zip lines, and more! Dont miss the chance to ride on their 1974 Carousel!
  • Tiger Safari – Tuttle, OK
    We love Tiger Safrai. Another zoo, but with options to get up close and hands-on (set-up ahead of time) with some of the animals.
  • Endangered Ark Foundation – Hugo, OK
    Do you love elephants? Do you want to hand-feed an elephant? Well this is the place! While a little pricey, if this is something you want to knock off your bucket-list, be sure to check out their website for more details! Reservations are required.

Museums

  • Science Museum Oklahoma
    The best hands on learning museum in Oklahoma. You really cant go wrong going here. So much to see, do, and experience for the whole family.
  • National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum
    Do you love all things cowboy? Then this is the place for you! Furthermore, going during spring break you get a sneak peek at their new kids play-area, Liichokoshkomo.
  • Factory Obscura
    This is a very unique museum. Its a hands-on, immersive experience. Lots of crawling, textures, colors, and sounds. For more details, check here.
  • Stafford Air & Space – Weatherford, OK
    If you have a space enthusiast, then I highly suggest checking out this museum. They have worked closely with groups like NASA and the Smithsonian to have one of the finest collections in the central United States.

Arts & Crafts

  • Paint N’ Station
    Walk-in pottery paint studio for all ages. Plaster or pottery pieces available for painting.
  • Unpluggits – Edmond, OK
    Paint and play your day away. This adorable place has an indoor playground and lots of crafting opportunities. From small wooden and plaster pieces to pottery!
  • Oops, I Arted – Edmond, OK
    Painting classes for kids. Special Spring Break event March 16-20, 1-4p; $50 each child. Call to reserve your spot!

Games

  • Red Door Escape Room
    What better way to keep your kids mind fresh but have a blast then to solve some puzzles?! Escape rooms are one of my absolute favorite things to do and Red Door is at the top of my list for favorite rooms!   • Main Event
    Can’t go wrong with arcade gaming! Plus, they have billards, bowling, laser tag, and a ropes course! Not to mention, they have a special for spring. By your activities pass by noon, and its only $15!
  • Urban Air – Moore, OK
    This place is coming soon to OKC but if you are like me and dont want to wait, then jot down to Moore and visit it now! From trampolines to warrior obstacle courses, its sure to be a blast!
  • Lunar Golf
    Indoor putt-putt with black light! Located in the Quail Springs Mall upper level. Perfect for all ages!

Indoor Activities

  • Urban Tomahawk – Edmond, OK
    This one is definitely going to be for older kids, but they say anyone over the age of 5 is allowed to participate with parental supervision. They even have a kids area for the young ones to play at while the older kids throw some axes!
  • iFly
    Your kiddo causing you grey hairs from trying to learn to fly? Then maybe checking out iFly would be your best bet!! Safe for ages 3 to 103! Be sure to check their special pricing! Military has a 20% discount!!
  • Kidz Funtown – Edmond, OK
    Indoor playground with Ninja obstacle course, slides, playhouses, swings, mini trampolines, lego stations, arts & crafts, and indoor zip lines. This place is targeted for the younger crowd, 1-12.
  • Star Skate
    Take it back old-school and visit your local skating rink! We love going to our local Star Skate. They have special Spring Break times and pricing is only $8!
  • Jump Zone
    Indoor playground and inflatable playgrounds with slides, jumping, and obstacles. Special times for Spring Break in OKC. $10 each
  • Inspirations Tea Room – Edmond, OK
    The cutest place to have a tea party! Make reservations to sit in the formal tea area, or just visit the main dining area for a quick cup of tea and some yummy eats. Need more details? Check out our recent tea party here.
Needing more of a laid back spring break in OKC?

Maybe you have really young ones and you want to sit back and get some work done while out? Check out Play Cafe where you can grab a drink and rest your feet while you grab a bite!

Another fun laid back place to visit would be Scissortail Park in downtown OKC! Go when its convenient, take a picnic, and enjoy OKCs newest park.
